Welcome

I moved to Kirkland, WA in August 2011. In a few short weeks I discovered that the Eastside has a never ending supply of fun to be had around every corner. I created this blog to keep track of the awesome places 2 year old son and I have gone or have heard of and look forward to exploring in the greater Kirkland area! Talapus Lake 4 mile hike

Talapus Lake is an easy 4 mile round trip hike. Carried my son in a backpack and let him walk back for a good 1/4 mile before carrying him out the rest of the way. Leisurely lunch at the lake (didn't find a great spot to let a toddler play without fearing he would fall into the lake). 3 hours total. Exit 45 off I90.
